Electric Bike Warranty Policy (Combined for LANKELEISI and Heybike)

This warranty is offered by both LANKELEISI and Heybike, and applies only to products purchased directly from the official websites of each brand or authorized dealers. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and issues not resulting from improper use or maintenance. Below are the terms and conditions that apply to both brands.


1. Warranty Coverage


For Original Purchasers:

  • LANKELEISI: 1-year warranty for components like controllers, forks, stems, etc. (see details for specific components below).
  • Heybike: 2-year warranty from the date of receiving the bike for e-bikes, excluding wear and tear items.

For Subsequent Owners:

  • LANKELEISI: Warranty is void for second-hand owners.
  • Heybike: 2-year warranty for the e-bike, starting from the original purchase date. Subsequent owners must provide proof of original purchase (order number, original owner details).

Warranty Periods for Specific Components:

  • LANKELEISI:
  • 1 Year: Covers components like controllers, forks, stems, seat posts, cranksets, shifting systems, etc.
  • 2 Years: Covers batteries and motors.
  • 3 Years: Covers frame manufacturing defects.
  • Heybike:
  • 2 Years: Covers e-bikes (excluding wear and tear items).
  • 1 Year: Covers separately purchased accessories.

What Is Covered:

  • LANKELEISI: Replacement of parts deemed defective or damaged without user error, shipping damage, and authorized repairs up to €200 at certified bike shops.
  • Heybike: Warranty covers manufacturing defects in e-bikes and accessories (for the first 7 days).

What Is Not Covered:

  • Damage caused by user error, misuse, neglect, accidents, or improper repairs.
  • Unauthorized modifications, alterations, or installations of incompatible parts.
  • Accessories, consumables, and parts subjected to wear and tear (e.g., tires, chains, brake pads, spokes, bearings, etc.).
  • Corrosion or damage due to environmental exposure (rain, saltwater, etc.).

2. Warranty Claims Process


How to Apply for Warranty:

  • LANKELEISI: Submit a support ticket with the order number. You may be required to provide photos/videos for diagnosis. A response will be given within 48 hours.
  • Heybike: Claims can be submitted through customer service with proof of purchase and clear photographs or video evidence of defects.

Warranty Requirements:

  • Warranty claims must be made within the specified period (typically 1–2 years depending on the component).
  • A support ticket must be submitted with the required documentation.
  • For replacement of parts, the defective part may need to be returned for inspection (prepaid return label may be provided).

Shipping Damage Claims:

  • Report shipping damage within 14 days of receiving the product.
  • Take clear photos of any visible damage and report it through a support ticket on the respective website.


3. Warranty Exclusions


  • Improper Assembly: Damage due to improper assembly or installation of parts.
  • Accidents and Neglect: Any damage caused by accidents, improper maintenance, misuse, or extreme riding.
  • Wear and Tear: Common wear items such as tires, brake pads, chains, spokes, etc., are not covered by warranty.
  • Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications: Any damage caused by unauthorized repairs, modifications, or the installation of incompatible parts.
  • Corrosion: Damage resulting from water, salt, or other environmental factors.
  • Failure to Maintain: Failure to adhere to the recommended maintenance schedule or failure to use the bike as per the instructions provided.


4. Return and Exchange Policy for Accessories


  • Heybike:
  • Within 7 Days: Returns and exchanges are accepted if there’s a quality issue, with free return shipping. For non-defective items, a 20% handling fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • After 7 Days: No returns or exchanges are accepted unless the item is defective.
  • LANKELEISI: Accessories and consumables (e.g., chains, tires, grips) are not covered under warranty, but can be returned as per the Returns Policy.


5. Limitations of Liability


  • Neither LANKELEISI nor Heybike is responsible for any personal injury, property damage, or economic loss arising from the use or failure of its products, including accidents, improper assembly, or negligence.
  • Warranty coverage is limited to the replacement of defective parts. In no event shall either brand be liable for consequential, indirect, or incidental damages.


6. Customer Relations


  • Both companies aim to ensure customer satisfaction. However, respect and cooperation are required when dealing with customer service representatives. Rude or threatening language will result in a warning, and repeated inappropriate behavior may lead to denial of service or voiding of the warranty.


7. Performance Disclaimer


  • Estimated Performance: The top speed, range, and performance of the bikes are estimates and may vary based on factors such as rider weight, terrain, weather conditions, and maintenance.


8. Service Fees and Additional Costs


  • In some cases, LANKELEISI or Heybike may charge a service fee or shipping cost for warranty claims or parts replacement, particularly for international claims or parts replacement that isn’t covered under the standard warranty terms.
